Thanks. Seller's item was new, in perfect condition, and was received within a few days. Fantastic.
Being an engineer I can understand that from the specs, however my phone charged up while I played music. Hopefully this cable doesn't damage my device.**Please note that even though I have an iPhone 3G and the title of the product states for iPod and iPhone 1G, the Griffin website says this works with 3G iPhones. The 1000mA AC Adaptor and 500mA car adaptor lets me charge more than use my iPhone; I was able to charge a Microsoft Zune Media player and a AT&T Fuze mobile phone.
I've tried uninstalling and installing drivers to no end. Overall good bit of kit for the money. I guess the only good thing that it does let me charge up the phone.
I bought this kit as it gave me an extra AC adaptor brick and a sync cable as well as letting me charge my iPhone 3G in the car.In terms of charging, everything works as advertised. When I plug in the cable my Vista x64 computer said I plugged in an unknown usb device. I just wished the sync cable will sync instead of just charging.
Definitely good value if you ask me.From what I read the car adaptor's output isn't enough to charge the iPhone when it's being used. Note I had 3G on, wifi & bluetooth off.The one big minus for me is that the included sync cable will not allow me to sync my iPhone to my PC.
If you have an Ipod touch I say buy so as possible. It has done all it said it would do.
I would highly recommend this product over some cheap no-name brand. I never worry about not being able to charge my phone while on the road. I have purchased cheap chargers only to throw them away due to poor quality or worries they would fry my iPhone. This charger works great, is well-made, and versatile since it comes with both the AC and DC chargers.
Save your bucks and buy this one from Amazon. This Griffin charger has attachments for the home and car, and both work very well. Similar items sold by Apple may work just as good, but cost almost twice the price.
